Open Evening

On Wednesday 8th October 2025, Laurel Park School came alive as we opened our doors to prospective families eager to discover what makes our community so special. The night was a huge success, thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of our incredible student volunteers, who gave their time to showcase the very best of life at Laurel Park.

From the moment visitors arrived, they were warmly welcomed and expertly guided by our fantastic team of student tour guides. Their confidence, knowledge, and pride in their school shone through, and many parents commented on how impressed they were by the friendliness and maturity of our students.

Across every department, learning was brought to life — from exciting Science experiments and trampolining in PE to a lively English book club. Guests also enjoyed stunning Art displays, live Music performances, and even a glimpse of Drama rehearsals in action, giving a real flavour of the energy and creativity that fill our classrooms every day.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from Khadija (Year 11) and Sam (Year 7), who both delivered inspiring speeches about their personal journeys at Laurel Park. Speaking confidently in front of a packed hall, they shared heartfelt reflections that left a lasting impression on everyone listening.

We are immensely proud of every student who contributed to the evening’s success. Their positivity, passion, and professionalism made the event truly memorable and showed exactly what makes Laurel Park such a vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring place to learn and grow.
