Entry Requirements
The entry requirement for Level 3 courses is an average GCSE point score of 3.6. This means adding together the outcomes of your grades and dividing that by the number of GCSE’s you are doing.
For Example:
Maths

English

4+3+5+4+4+6+4+5 = 35
Adding up all the grades, you have a total of 35, divided by 8 subjects which gives an average GCSE point score of 4.3. This would give you enough points to study the Level 3 course of your choice.
However if the grades were as follows:

Business

Art

Tech

2+2+1+1+3+2+2+3=16
Adding up all the grades, you have a total of 16, divided by 8 subjects which gives an average GCSE point score of 2. This would mean you would study the Level 2 course of your choice, alongside the opportunity to re-take GCSE English and Maths.
