The School Day

A free breakfast is available in the Bay Leaf Restaurant everyday between 7.50 - 8.20am.

 

Students should arrive at school by 8.15am everyday. Roll call takes place in the playground at 8.25am.

 

The school day is organised into 6 lessons which are either taught as singles (50 mins) or doubles (1 hour 20 mins) depending on the subject and the year group. Daily reading takes place with Form tutors.

 

Students are expected to keep parents informed of their out of school activities and their likely time of departure from school if, for instance, they are involved in after-school activities.

 

Parents will be notified by text if their child has been issued a same-day detention which will finish at 4.10pm.

 

The school week consists of 32 hours and 30 minutes. This does not include after school activities and clubs.
