16-19 Bursary Fund

At Laurel Park School, we understand that some students may

need extra assistance financially to support them with their

education and studies.

Laurel Park School is in receipt of the government’s 16-19 Bursary Fund which is designed to help students overcome specific financial challenges, enabling them to continue their Post-16 education. The Bursary Fund is available to students who meet the eligibility criteria in this application pack.

Students who make an application in Year 12 will need to

apply again at the start of Year 13.

 

The bursary can help eligible students with essential costs such as:

• Transport to and from school or college.

• Books, stationery and educational resources.

• Equipment required for specific courses.

• Appropriate clothing or uniform required for study.

• Educational trips and activities directly linked to their courses.

• Meals, where appropriate and not already covered by other support.

(The Bursary supports these costs, and will not pay them in full).
