Welcome!

Hello and a very warm welcome to Laurel Park School!

My name is Mrs Tansley, and I am the Raising Standards Lead for Year 7 and the member of staff who oversees transition. If you are reading this, it means you’ve just received your secondary school offer for September 2026, an exciting moment for every young person and their family.

We are absolutely delighted that you are joining our Laurel Park community.

At Laurel Park, we believe that moving from primary to secondary school should be a positive, memorable and carefully supported journey. Our transition programme is not just one taster day in July. It is a six-month programme designed to help every child feel prepared, confident and excited about starting Year 7.

Over the coming months, you and your families will be invited to take part in a range of events, visits and activities that will help you get to know our school, meet key staff, make new friends and build the skills needed for a successful start. Every step is planned with one clear purpose: to give you the very best start to your secondary journey.
