In this course, you’ll dive into the theory behind popular treatments and the beauty industry, while also gaining hands-on experience. You’ll develop your skills in a range of treatments, including pedicures, manicures, skincare, and photographic makeup.
You’ll also build essential skills for working with clients - like customer service, salon health and safety, and industry know-how, so you’re fully prepared for a successful career in beauty therapy.

Entry requirements
Students will be required to complete the Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification, before progressing onto the Level 3 qualification.
Topics I am Likely to Study
What you’ll learn
Over the duration of the course, you will do the following mandatory Units:
Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
PRocide body electrotherapy treatments
Provide body massage
Client care and communication in beauty related industries
Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
Students will then study some of the following optional units.
Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
Apply individual permanent lashes
Waxing for males and females
Nail Enhancements and advanced hand and nail art techniques
Provide self tanning
Providing stone therapy and Indian head massage.
How you’ll learn
Students will learn through mainly practical demonstrations of treatments, some classroom-based theory, written coursework and research.
Course Assessment Methods
What you’ll need to bring
As a Sixth Form, we will support you to get your Beauty kit, which is needed to carry out your treatments.

Students will be assessed through their practical demonstration of treatments, their portfolio and coursework.
