Are you passionate about hair and beauty? If so, the Hair and Beauty Therapy courses could be your perfect match!
In these courses, you’ll dive into the theory behind popular treatments and the beauty industry, while also gaining hands-on experience. You’ll develop your skills in a range of treatments, including pedicures, manicures, skincare, and photographic makeup.
You will also learn the theory and practical skills for you to enter the world of hairdressing, you will gain skills in cutting, setting and colouring hair and also learning how to provide effective shampooing and drying services.
You’ll also build essential skills for working with clients - like customer service, salon health and safety, and industry know-how, so you’re fully prepared for a successful career in hairdressing and/or beauty therapy.
This course is an ideal foundation for launching your career in the hair and beauty industry!
Entry requirements
Students will be required to have an average GCSE point score of 2.6 for the level 2 courses.

As a Sixth Form, we will support you to get your Hair and Beauty kits, which is needed to carry out your treatments.

Career Pathways
What you can do next
Junior Hairdresser / Stylist – basic cutting, shampooing, styling and reception duties in a salon or barbershop.
Assistant Hairdresser – support senior stylists and build client service skills. Roles can be in salons, barbers, spas, hotels and cruise ships.
Beauty Therapist / Beautician – delivering treatments such as facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, lash and brow services.
Salon or Spa Therapist – working in day spas, hotel spas, health clubs, and resorts.
Retail Beauty Consultant – advising customers on products and services in beauty retail environments.
